This is a couple scans from an old Hot Rod magazine I had. Leon's car was the first
at a lot of things in the entry into Hot Rod's RSE contest. It was the first four-valve engine.
The first overhead cam engine. The first to displace less than 200 cubic inches. The first to
wear 17-inch wheels. And, oh yeah, the first Toyota.
And it dominated... It finished second overall in a class of extremely modified V8 muscle...
By the way... the blue stains are due to the DAP FunTak used to hang it without putting
holes in it. I didn't think it would stain this much, but the magazine paper is thin...
