One of my many goals has been to create a complete digital archive of all the Supra
brochures to date and put it online. Well, I've finally begun working towards that dream. Below
are the brochures that I've completed scanning. Of course, I started with my own model year as
the prototype. After scanning everything in two pieces (due to their abnormal sizing), fitting
them together and making sure it's scanned in to fit the width of a standard 800x600 screen, I
checked the various compression routines. JPEG made the file the smallest but degraded the
quality too much for my liking. Everything lost clarity and gained fuzziness. I found that
while GIF89a quantized the colors down and gave everything a slightly grainy look, it was the
sharpest. So, that's what things will remain for now...
Note that once I get more brochures done, I'm going to make them each separate sub-pages to
minimize bandwidth concerns.
