Do-Luck (RXB) Center Support Bar | ![]() |
There is currently an issue with bringing Do-Luck products into the US. Also, Darin no longer works for Avanche. Do-Luck's latest info is that they want a minimum of a few hundred orders before exporting some more bars in (unbelieveable huh?). But that's the latest info... Once I hear any more beyond this, I'll post the updated info here... If anyone gets any more info on this issue, let me know...
Background
Based on a lead from Jeff Watson via the '98 SEMA show in Las Vegas, I made a contact with an importer/exporter of Do-Luck products. His business is located in California and he's planning on carrying the entire Do-Luck product line. The most important of this stuff to me was the huge number of #70 (meaning MA70 & JZA70) mods available in Japan. The first one I wanted access to was the center support brace. This is known as the RXB, or Rear Cross Brace, to Do-Luck (oddly enough).
I worked out a group discount deal with him for both SOGI and PacNW members since I mentioned that our largest member base consists of MkIII owners who are anxious for ever-more mods :-). The details of that discount follows...
Details
To get your own bar is simple. Just give Darin a call and mention that you found out about this deal from me and one will be on the way to you. Here are the specifics I worked out:
Company:Avanche Corporation / Exports International
Phone Number:310-532-4762
Contact:Darin Dohi
Standard Retail Price:$284.95
PacW/SOGI Group discount:10% off ($256.46) |
Darin also said that if anyone wants to order in larger groups, you may be able to get a little more off as well...
Darin will be setting up a dealer distribution net soon and will prefer to sell via that net instead of directly, but I believe that group members may be able to avoid that, especially for group purchases.
Other Stuff
I'm also currently working with Darin to set him up as a sponsor for this year's Vegas99 meet. God only knows what he'll donate as a sponsor gift if he does decide to help us out, but we could be looking at a free center bar for some lucky member. What I do know is that all you MkIII guys out there had better make a showing this year if you want to throw your hat into the ring and be eligible for a prize in the raffle! :-)
